trouble importing disk of MP3 songs

I have a disk of MP3 songs and am having trouble importing the disk onto i tunes-windows.. It doesnt seem to be recognized, and the songs will only play when the disk is in the drive. so i am unable to download it onto my i pod..so frustrating. Please help

I'm not sure if iTunes can import MP3's directly from a CD. I'd try copying the files to directory on your hard drive and adding them to iTunes from there (if your iTunes is set to do the whole "keep my music organised" thing then you may be able to delete the directory afterwards. Otherwise you shoud manage the folder structure as with all your other folders).
