Radioshark on Windows?
Can anyone who has the Griffin RadioSHARK confirm that, when running on Windows XP it is able to record in AAC format for use in iTunes/iPod? I'm a little concerned because the Griffin web site is ambiguous and one review I've read actually explicitly says that it CAN'T.
Thanks!

Hi
I have a radio shark and put the recordings on my ipod. You just record and put the file into your ipod library and it works, you dont need to convert it or anything.
Its a fantastic product much cheaper recording songs off the radio than giving apple money for every song.

Is the radioSHARK Mac or PC compatible?
The radio SHARK is both Mac and PC compatible. Software for both platforms is included and the instructions refer to both platforms equally.
taken directly from the griffin technology website.

When you are setting up the scheduler you get the option to record in AIFF or AAC - I use AAC and a 3 hr radio show is usually about 180mb in size. It is a great little gadget but you do need a good signal for it to work properly.

Amen to that! I bought one and returned it the next day because the signal that I was able to get at home and at work had so much static it was virtually unlistenable.

Can the people who have said this works please confirm they are using XP?
From Ars Technica review:
One Mac nicety missing from Windows is the ability to add your completed recordings to iTunes. Using an AppleScript, radioSHARK will move your completed recordings into a new iTunes playlist called radioSHARK. When you synchronize your iPod, your recordings are also copied to the iPod. Unfortunately, it does not add the date and time of the broadcast to the song name. This functionality is absent from the Windows version, due to the fact that the Windows version uses WMA which is not supported by iTunes or the iPod.

From Griffin web site:
The radio SHARK will record both AAC and AIFF files on the Mac.
(Note it doesn't say it does this on Windows... by omission suggesting it doesn't!)
Sorry to have to post again but I'd really like to be sure before I order this thing!
