Normally, an item will state if it can only be shipped within the US. As an example, most electronics (say, an iPod (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002OZXHO/qid=1114975629/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1_etk-electronics/102-0424344-6644933?v=glance&s=electronics&n=172282) states that it can only be shipped to the US.HTH
