DVForge "The Clips" Review
Okay, so I recieved it today, cute little package, it was shipped Thursday, and I recieved it today, so it did come on time. The set was 14.95, and I'm not 100% sure if it was worth it or not.
First of all, 3 clips are included. Only 2 of them are useful.
The frist is a long, thin steel, belt clip. The caps do not match the color of the shuffle. If you look close enough, the color is just a tad off white, more onto the beige side once held under the light. Not a big difference, and it does not bother me at all. The cap is wider at the base, and even a little longer, so it looks out of place once connected to the shuffle. The clip itself is very sturdy, but it is not as tight as I wanted it to be., and I don't think I will ever use this one unless I just slide it into my pocket. If someone were to turn you upside down, the shuffle will slide out of your pocket even though it is clipped. The steel clip was also coated with an unfriendly grease, something needs to be done about that. The quality is there, but they could have made this much more useful, and have had a better well-thought out design.
The alligator clip on the other hand is just awsome. The alligator clip is ETREMELY tight, and will hold onto pretty much anything. The quality of this clip exceeded my expectations. At first, I thought I'd be using the belt clip the most, but I def. will use this one the most. I don't think I have to be worried about it scratching my shuffle, considering it won't be moving around. The cap fights on tight and locks in place, just like Apple's caps. The color on this too, is a little off-white. This clip alone makes me happy with the set as the steel is good quality, and it's a shiny chrome which would match any outfit nicely.
The last clip is a button-type. The pin is very high quality, and it seems as if it would be very sturdy when pinned onto an article of clothing. I wouldn't trust it while I'm excercising, but for casual use, it would be interesting + catch a lot of attention. Once clipped to something, it seems as if it is floating in mid-air. Very useful at times, but I prefer the alligator clip. Up until this point, I've always used either the lanyard or an armband (I made myself).
All in all, I guess it was a decent 15$ investment considering the use I'd be getting out of it.
Let me know what you think.
