iPodstreet.com has released a new USB wall charger and a USB car charger. I though WOOHOO a USB solution for both my 4g and shuffle. So I called iPodstreet to confirm that the product would indeed work with the shuffle and to my complete suprise and dismay these two chargers are plug compatible with the shuffle but not electrically compatible :confused:

Apparently they device do not follow the USB specification and the voltage is wrong for the shuffle (I do no know how they are providing more than 5V DC to 3g, 4g, and mini's but apparently they are. The rep said that the chargers would damage the shuffle.

They saw no problem with releasing a non standard USB power device YIKES...

Hopefully iPodstreet will respond here and clarify this but as of right now it looks scary...
