reseting ipod

having trouble with ipod and was told to reset it. is there definate way to reset my ipod without deleting my music off of it.

If you look in the user's guide that came with the iPod, you will see the info in the troubleshooting section. Reset is not restore so it won't delete the iPod.honeybee1236 at 2007-11-15 13:29:13 >

i reset under "reset all settings", but will reseting by toggling hold switch off/on and pressing select and menu buttons for at least 6 seconds erase my music?rancore at 2007-11-15 13:30:13 >
