capdase metal case

Does anybody else have a capdase metal mini case? I have one, and I'm happy with it, but it seems like the screen and click wheel openings are msialigned a slight bit (too far right). Is this just mine, or are they just molded like that?

By the way, if you were about to get this case, but I'm giving you second thoughts, don't falter. Just buy it! It's a great case, and everybody whos seen mine says the shinyness is awesome ( I have the polished one).

The only problems are that if you squeeze the case before you put the ipod in, it gets too tight and makes (easily removable) marks on the ipod, and the rubber inside part is hard to fit if you don't know how. I spent nearly half a day trying to get the ipod in, until i found out the trick. Most people should have no problems with this... I'm just a little slow.

I've got one, and my screen and wheel align properly with the case.

As for the rubber inside, yeah I had problems with putting the mini in, but eventually found out how and it became really easy to do.

Is it 100% rubber inside? There is no chance of me scratching my Mini using the case is there? I've seen some horror stories about how some cases cause more damage than help, hard to know which to get

Actually, the entire top of your iPod is not covered using this case, and the clickwheel is bare as well. This is one of those cases where the iPod slips in (It works like an iPod sock, as opposed to an iSkin) so there is no top protection. I don't mind that, though, because the top gets scratched by my headphone jack. The entire metal part of the mini is covered by this case, and while inside, the rubber part covers the mini, so it won't get scratched (It hasn't scratched mine, anyways). Like I wrote before, If you make the case too tight and try to jam your mini in, it gets little streak marks from the rubber, but those come off easily with some saliva and a rag.

This case looks too cool to give up! Buy it!

$16? That is such a good deal! I got mine for C$30 + shipping... They didn't have em on eBay at the time. :(

Anyways, I'm sure you'll like the case.

Mine saved my mini last night. It fell 5 feet onto asphalt, and the top of my mini got chipped, but the screen was saved thanks to capdase. If I had something that covered the top, the chip could've been avoided, but I won't complain since the drop was my fault anyway.

I picked up capdase from my visit to hong kong recently for around 150 hkd. I was very happy that i found this case since i havent seen anything like it before. It wasnt easy to find either (for someone who doesnt go to hk often). I can honestly say i can now throw my mini into my bag with all my other crap without much worry ( i got the satin, since i thought the chrome finnish would just be something else i didnt want scratched :p).
Having both the rubber inside lining and the outer metal wrap puts my mind at ease.

It's hard to explain how to do it, but the problem you are having is that the rubber wont stick inside the metal, right? To get it to stay, you need to align the top and sort of push it closer to the metal. There is a small lip at the top of the rubber that will grip the metal. Again, it's hard to explain. If you put it right, it will just stay. Then, you insert the screen protector and slide your pod in. I hope this is somewhat clear; if it isn't, I apologize.

I finally got it inside.
I kinda figured it out, It was hard for me figure it out.
I also had trouble putting the screen protector,
but I end up solving that issue as well.

I loved the case, it looks nice and fits my mini perfect.
Would have been much better if it was little easier to put the case.
Worth the money I spent on this case.

And Thank you for your help :)

Glad you like it! I agree about the difficultness of putting the rubber in, Capdase should make some kind of instruction manual.
