Latest/New iPod mini
I'm buying my wife a mini for her birthday, could someone tell me when the latest one was brought out and are there any plans to update in the near future?
The reason I ask is that I bought a 4G 40Gb a while ago and about 4 weeks later they reduced the price of the photo, so in effect I could have got a 60GB with colour screen for around the same price!! Gutted! I know this is how technology works but I'd like to be on the positive end of it this time ;)

I'm pretty sure that new minis won't come out until feburary of next year. Wait until after macworld just to make sure though.

for those "in the know", though its quite a bit in the future, what type of changes can you see in the new minis ??
ie... even longer battery life, etc..
