Ice Link Pro: cannot upgrade firmware for Jetta

This is sooo frustrating. I purchased an Ice Link Pro unit from enfig.com, and installed it. Upon reading the booklet that comes with it, I found that I had a very limited menu of options on the Ice Link compared to the what was in the booklet. Including a lack of ability to upgrade the firmware.

So, I contacted dension via email and have gotten little or no response (I got 1 email that asked what version of firmware I had...after me telling them I had no way to read this), and I responded... to silence. I've emailed again, as well as opening a new ticket... still nothing.

The interface is sluggish at best, the readouts tiny and bitmapped, and the site's a monstrosity that doesn't have any real info to speak of...plus that wonderful costomer service.

The sound quality's the best I've encountered though. So I may just have to live with the limited menu if I can't get any REAL help.

Anybody here had these same issues? I have a 2002 Jetta, the factory cassette/cd changer, ipod photo 60gb.

That sucks... Maybe they sold you an old unit or something?

they came through for me... they had me in the latest firmware, which for some reason has a limited menu, so they sent me a url with older firmware on it, and I installed that and... voila!

I really do love the interface, although I like the option to control your ipod as well as through the head unit the best.
