Peripheral PXDP ipod2car

hi y'all i just want to comment on my recent purchase/install of the Peripheral ipod2car unit.

peripheralelectronics dot com

it seems that this is the same unit as the NEO Ion...just a different box (white vs. black).

I know there are a lot of haters out there, but I'm very happy with my purchase!

Yes, the unit costed more than if I had went with the AUX-RCA converter, but I wanted to have the ipod proprietary plug (from the bottom of the ipod) for several reasons:
#1 charging capabilities.
#2 the volume fixed (on the ipod) and u have a single volume control > only through the head unit...the touch wheel is touchy while driving if you use the headphone jack as line out.
#3 i didn't want to have multiple plugs for charging and audio out (simplicity and cleanliness in the car)

I installed the unit on my stock '04 Honda Civic, i didn't want to swap head units (also for simplicity and cleanliness).

After I was done, everything is out of site, except for a short white plug coming out down by my cup holders...
and the sound....is better than ever!!!!
i'm wondering why i didn't take this route a loooooong time ago.

****My Monster icarplay FM transmitter is up for sale if anyone is interested. (email me: spam.artist at gmail dot com)

if you guys have any questions about installation or the ipod2car unit itself, feel free to email me: spam.artist at gmail dot com.

cheers!

I think its a very similar unit to the one sold on www.mp3yourcar.com for 189. I have had good luck with mine and actually have recommend them to my friends who have iPods.
