Risks of running euPod pro?
Are there any risks of running euPod pro on your iPod? If there are, can they be fixed and have the iPod back into working well?

Did Espen create a new PRO version of his EUPod?!? If so is it safe to ask if he finnaly fixed the bug where you have to 'Restore' the iPod after each time you would use EUPod to be able to do something as simple as adding a new Album or Track onto the iPod?
As that was the 'classic reasion' to hate EUPod in the first place! Given that EUPod was ment to be a harmless 'Workaround' to the EU Volime Cap. (aprox. 70~75% of true Max.),. It only works with Files of the .Mp3 variety. So you can forget about your .M4b Audiobooks, your .M4a AAC Tracks or your .M4p iTMS Tracks. As AAC does not conform to the .Mp3 standers and thuss not applicable with EUPods implimentation of Mp3Gain.
Thankfuly time change and since the Fall of '04 we've had newer Apps to take care of the EU Volume Cap. Like iMod (Windows ONLY), which has fallen off the map to be replaced by GoPod which works on *nix, Mac & Wondows. And unlike EUPod or Mp3Gain GoPod will not Clip your Music, and it will work with all your AAC Files too...
As for risks? There arn't any GoPod will only decativat the Region Code Check in the iPodOS. Thuss eleminating the Volume Cap. Besides a much LOUDER iPod there will be no difference. You iPod will be just they way you allways knew and loved it. You'll be able to manage your iPod with no problems at all. As you'll only ever need to run GoPod once after each iPodOS install (i.e. Restore), or Update to the iPodOS. A much rarer evernt for those with older iPods...

If you like the freaking 'Batterie Meter' so much you can just add the '_Show_Volts' to your x:/iPod_Control/Devices Directory
Basicly you start off by makeing a new .txt Document and by nameing it '_Show_Volts'.txt you'd just press 'F2' to del the'.txt' part so that only '_Show_Volts' is left. move that File off to the above location and reset your iPod and you'll have a Numerical value instead of the normal Batterie Meter.
If you like that Hack you're welcome to 'Search' for more of them either here or on Goolge...

about that battery thing, does it die at 200 or 0?
# 5 Re: Risks of running euPod pro?
I wouldn't know.
I'm happy with the normal yet slightly modifide 'Batterie Meter' that I created in Photoshop and used iPodWizzard to install...

The Program is called iPodWizzard it's fairly common application (Windows ONLY ATM), It allows you to edit your Fonts and or Icons. On you iPod. Again feel free to use the 'Search Button' (above), or www.google.com for more info...

# 9 Re: Risks of running euPod pro?

I find AAC to be far superior to Mp3 anyways. If you need a real work around for the 'European Volume Cap'. I'd suggest you try GoPod first. Given that it may not work with the newest iPods' (Mini, Photo & Shuffle), It's just a plain better Program. And unlike EUPod / Mp3Gain, GoPod will boost, correction uncap you iPod thuss boosting your iPod. Beit AAC or Mp3...
