ipod lego stands

Have you got any plans of sort.

i am in the process of making a lego stand for my ipod mini i have a cradle but i am stuck on what to do with the base...

don't bother emailing lego... that's their reply when i suggested they should form a partnership with apple so that our "stands" can become "docks," i didn't even suggest a prototype that i wanted. i just want a lego piece that allows me to dock. oh well.

the stand looks good man, looks like when your iPod is in your stand it isn't connected to your computer.

Thanks for fixing the links. Nope, I didn't make mine so that it could be hooked to the computer (the way my computer desk is set up, the stand would just get in the way if I had done it that way), but it'd be pretty easy to change if I wanted to do that--would just have to remove a few Legos.

Hey i just made one. its really good i think, i looks like a guy is sitting holding the iPod up. ill post pictures once i figure out how my digital camera works

I made a play-doh stand! lego is a much better idea

im gonna make 1 too!! that is too cool! i have about a billion legos from when i played w/ them, and my dad played w/ them when he was a kid, so he could help me. ill send pics when i make it! :) :)

i once wanted to get a model produced by Lego, and I got the same reply (almost exatly)

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Heh, nothing impressive to look at, but it does have a dock connector, and an "audio out" line. I just decided to build one, because I was just getting to lazy to have to crawl under my desk every time I wanted to recharge my ipod (read: every two to three days), so I just built a stand for my ipod. It's connected to my stereo, because I don't like wearing earphones while trying to work, they just get in the way too many times, that and you can't really hear anything. Anyways, here are the pics:

@ Tote: Yep, it is. I used the lego pieces to pinch the sides of the dock cable so that the metal hooks on the side are permanently stuck in, at least when I don't take it out that is. (read: never, unless I have plans for a better dock :P) So now, I just plunk it in or just pull it out.

@JuryDuty: Nah, the cord's always in there, I have another one lying around for when I need to connect it to my computer (downstairs) so I can just plunk it in there at the end of the day, or when I want to listen to something as I work.

@idaedheloth: OMG, I wish I could do that. But seeing that I have no electrical, or woodworking experience or access to any materials, I'm guessing that I'll never be able to do that.

For mine, the dock cable is always hooked up to the makeshift dock. If anyone's ever tried this, you'll know it's a pain to squeeze the thing in there. I'll try to show you how it looks like on the inside with the following pictures:
