IpodLounge Censorship

I think it is totally bogus that you or your fascist administrator censor what people say here. Your constant removal of people's comments are totally unacceptable in what is supposed to be an open forum. Shame on you!!!!!

Of course, mentioning this means that you will delete this message also, but all that proves is that Bill Gates is right and iPods will be just a fad.......

Hmmmmm....do i smell troll ?

Censorship is necessary on a forum which is read by all ages and i think removal of comments is definately not constant. Only foul language is removed usually.

I agree with iMacc. I don't specifically like censorship, but I don't mind it. This community is very large, with all ages reading, so some people will love censorship and think it is necessary to keep the forum in line. Also, how does the possible deleting of your post prove that statement?

We like to maintain iPodlounge has a family friendly environment. And if that means censoring subjects related to erotica and pornography, then so be it. Society has it rules, and so does this forum.

MaggieMay posted a message related to erotica audiobooks and the entire thread was quarantined. MaggieMay is complaining, because her friends' topic was also quarantined (and banned), and rightly so, as it pertained to erotic podcasts. We won't tolerate it. And just to let everyone know, even when a topic is said to be deleted, it's never really "deleted" from the system. We choose to quarantine them from the public for future reference.

i think its fair.. I mean obviously you dont want kids getting exposed to this stuff, an I dont see much of a reason in swearing in iPod discussion, and while I do swear quite a lot, I guess I can accept the censorship here

Foul language is usually removed by the auto censor.

The subject of MaggieMay's complaint is probably linked to the attempt to post links to pornographic podcasts by Sue Smabitt. The site in question has a token attempt to filter over-18's from under 18's.

MaggieMay tried to start a thread on the subject of where to find erotic audiobooks just after Sue Smabitt was banned and the porn links removed. This thread was removed. Coincidence?...

Sue Smabitt's second post in the forums asked "What's the deal on postings that only allow "established members" to post a message with a URL?" - they were obviously wanting to spam the forums with the porn links.

Both Sue Smabitt and MaggieMay use the same ISP. Coincidence?...

As Dennis said we will not tolerate such subject matter here. If you want to find it, then Google for it, but don't bring it in here.

Thanks

I'd rather not think of that... ;)

I think censorship is needed. Over-censorship is bad, but iPodlounge have got it right! :)

anyone who needs to create a second identity to complain is too much of a coward to pay any attention to.

if you are trying to post pornography, maybe you should find a site that caters to your desires. I can forward you some spam that I've received if you need help finding porn on the internet.

Well, in their defense, a 2nd account was necessary to complain with since we banned the first one. :D
