looking for an earbud type headphone with high bass
Is there any good earbud style headphones with a high volume and good quality bass? I heard all the shure and etymotics have great sound but poor bass, is this true?
Thanks.

Get sony MDREX-71's or51's. They have alot of bass and are super comfy. I have the 51's sound is the same as the 71's but they dont look as nice (but 10-15 bucks cheaper).

Welcome to the Lounge aliengin. First of all, how much are you looking to spend?

maximum would be around $100 but willing to go a bit over for better sound.

Something that has strong bass and for less than $100... Hmm... How strong do you want the bass to be? You could give the Shure E2c's a try. They go for around $60-80 in some places. Try www.earphonesolutions.com ;)

I'm going to second this. Its an extremely good choice for people on a budget.

I disagree with all of you, he said he's willing to spend more for better bass, why are u guys recommending the E2c? Go for the super.fi EB, they emphasize on bass and cost $200. Moreover, you'll be getting new technology on those earphones, while shure e2c is the thing of the past. =D Speaking from experience, the E2c does provide more bass than some in ears , but i don't think it's anywhere near the quality of dual driver earphones. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra $100, that way you wont have the earge to upgrade for awhile.

rx7_fan you don't get it do you? He says he has a maximum of $100 and you're suggesting earphones twice as much as that? If he had said he has a maximum of $200 I would have suggested the Super.fi EB's or the Shure E4c's.

In my opinion, stay away from the Etys 6i's. I found no bass there at all...

Hey he said he's willing to go a bit over and recommending him getting the E2c isn't a good idea because there's so many other better canal earphones. He will always wonder what's out there, and end up spending more money in the long run. Take it from me, just buy dual earphones and save yourself money in the long run. If you end up buying single driver earphones, you'll always wonder how much better things can get with dual drivers. Yes, it is $100 dollars more than your budget, but if you ask anyone here who owns dual driver earphones, they will tell you that it's worth every single penny, and don't waste your time listening to single driver earphones.
However, if you get dual driver, it is less likely you're thinking of triple driver earphones (UE 10Pro, etc). Although this did happend to kaffue. But the dude is a medical student, i'm sure he can afford it once he graduate...=D

Yeah, that also happened to me. I recommend if you just go straight for a dual-driver earphone and cut out the mid-range sigle driver earphones. It will save you money in the long-run if you don't sell your old earphones. If you can afford the extra $100-$150, go for it!
