E3 tips getting stuck in my ears!

I have some e3 and I use the small soft flex tips. But I have been using them for a couple months now and when I take them out of my ears, the tips get left behind and I have to carry tweezers around with me just to get them out. It is getting on my nerves. Anyone else have this problem??

Time to change your tips! (serious)

You might have some skin oils on the stem of the e3 and inside the sleeve causing them to slip on and off easily. If you rub the outside stem and the inside of the sleeve with a q-tip moistened with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils it may help quite a bit.

i had the same problem, its time to change your tips. My tips "expanded" after cleaning them multiple times over a 4 month period. If you compare them to other tips that you don't use, you'll most likely see that the opening that covers the headphones is significantly wider that your used tips.

the superglue was my idea which didn't work very well. by the way every bit of superglue was easily removed from the headphones without any long term effects.

anyway. i wrote to shure and explained to them my situation with the tips getting stuck in my ears. they told me that this has been a very rare occurence. however i have found a few instances of this happening. (glad to know i'm not the only one this has happened too) they then sent me several new tips and asked me to send my old tips back in so the QA dept. could see what went wrong.

i hope the can come up with a better solution to keep this from happening to others. i also had to move up to the medium tips which don't go in quite as far however i never feel like i get quite as good a fit with the bigger ones.

my two cents
