having trouble with ipod remote/er6is

ok ever since i had my ipod i using my ex71's short cord with my ipod remote. well this was and still is the perfect combo. but now i have just got my hands on these er6i's and well im having trouble trying to use the ipod remote and the 6i's. ive got a smartwrap but even when using that things do not feel right. i always wear my remote just below my chest so you can imagine im having to wrap most of the 6i's cord around the smart wrap so that there is no slack, but when i do this the smartwrap is really bloody heavy.

its got to the stage where im contemplating getting shot of my ipod remote.

anyone else have this prob?

why doing these companies make short cords like sony??

Often because the weight of the short cord-to-extension connector causes the naturally 'light' design of canalphones to begin to tug on your ear canals (and fall out/cause fatigue).

i stopped using the remote when i got the etys, but it would be nice to have a short cord option for anyone making earphones targetted at iPods.

yeah im thinking of doing the same thing. do most people keep their smartwraps in their pocket or do they have it halfway of there cord? im not be sticking it in my pocket as the weight factor is a bit annoying.

because, then, said company and to an extent, the buyer is limited in certain ways. not everyone uses a portable media device w/ a wired remote (though i do.;)). i believe it's much cheaper and will attract more buyers when a headphone is equipped w/ a long (1m) cord.

best of both worlds? short cord style (.5m) + extention (1m). but still a hassle.

I don't have any trouble with the er6i's and the remote at all. I use the clip on the er6i's to steady the cord to my shirt and it seems ok - though the length of the cord is a bit unwieldy.

Might try one of these Smart wraps - anyone know who supplies them in the UK?
