Model # differences
I am taking the plunge and getting the 60GB.
I am finding 2 different model #s out on the web.
M9830LLA & M9586LLA
Does anyone know the difference?
Is one 1st generation vs 2nd generation?
I tried searching but could not find this info.
Thanks

m9830lla is the "new" model of ipod photo 60gb. it is a rip off and has NO ACCESSORIES. none at all.
this is what you get
1. ipod
2. usb cable (to tranfer and charge)
3. headphones.
now,
the m9586lla is the "old" model. it has $400 (australian dollars) $300 (us dollars) worth of accessories with it...
these goodies include:
1. headphones
2. usb cable
3. firewire cable
4. power adapter (for charging)
5. carry case
6. dock
7. av cable
the "old" one is much better value for money simply because of the accessories. BUY THE OLD ONE IF YOUR LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND ONE! good luck...
now if your next question is going to be is there any difference between new and old. then the answer is no...
read around this forum and see other users comments but there is no firmware difference or anything. NOTHING!
only that one comes with accessories, one doesnt...
enough said, u decide...

there is one difference between the two, though it may not matter to you...
