help, ipod EXPLODED!
Does the warrenty cover this?

No I'm not kidding. I left my silver 4gig mini in my pocket and it got washed... Wen i realised it i took it out of the washer, but it was slippery so i dropped it too :( :( :( I figured it might still be alive so i put it on a towel and left it out in the sun for a while. Maybe 30 mins later I heard a pop outside my window and the bottom white insert of my ipod had blow out and the inside was smoking...
Does the warrenty cover this?

WOAH I jus got back from best buy with my *ipod*:rolleyes: and the guy looks at me and says, kid you know the store can sue you for trying this. I said I didn't and what can I do? The guy said he wouldn't tell anyone if I gave him $10, so naturally i did. Good thing the guys over there are nice. I never heard of warrenty falsification before... If you gave him $10, I feel really sorry for you.
There is such thing as warranty falsification, but if you simply took the iPod in to see if the damage would be covered by the warranty, there is no way they would charge you... And do you really think a huge company like Best Buy would waste time suing you for something stupid like that? Or that it would even ever get past the electronics department at that particular store?
Anyways, this whole thread seems like a really bad attempt at someone playing dumb.

hahaha! you got scammed out of $10! Awesome. I'll bet that guy was laughing all the way to the bank. You would have only been in trouble if you had returned it saying that it was manufacturers defect. So long as you don't hand it to them for repair at their repair station, you don't get charged. It's true that you can ask them if the warranty covers it. Hell you can ask them whatever you want. But, live and learn I suppose. Hey, speaking of which, if you give me $10, I won't turn you in to the police for fraud.
