your not going to find a $5.00 cassette adapter when they run for $20. at the store. your better off buying one locally for $10.
stay away from generic tape adapters, they're garbage. get yourself a sony one, they are the best.

This is definately a case of you get what you pay for. Sony, Philips, Monster- YES! Shack, generic, etc.? NO!

I find a lot of belkin stuff suck. Don't know if it's classed as generic but it should be  It's certainly not known for it's quality in music like sony, philips etc.
They seem to be more known for their cases etc for both the PDA and Ipod market.

i got a sony adaptor, and it worked for about 3 weeks, until my factory car stereo randomly began issuing a "broken tape" error, and ejecting it. hot weather, cold weather, it didn't matter. it seemed to be completely random. i bought a philps adaptor, and so far, it's been working just fine. i really don't think there's a science to it. some work with some cars better than others. some are just crap. some work well.
i only paid $10 for the philips model at walmart. i'd start with that first, because everyone lives near a walmart, so you won't have to pay for shipping, and everyone wastes $10 a week anyway, so if it doesn't work, it really won't be a big deal.
