I bought this case, but then decided I didn't want to add the heft to the unit. It's still in the original packaging, unused, not scratched. It's sized for the 40gb 4th generation iPod.

The brushed aluminum is nicely cutout with no sharp edges and it hinges from the bottom. It also includes a belt clip that attaches to a piece that screws into the back of the unit, so if you don't want to use the belt clip, it lays almost flat.
