Need help opening the dock

I just bought the ipod dock, and im about to throw it out of the window and run it over 100 times with my car. Is there any tips on opening the dock, cause i need to change the cover.

I read that you need a few flat-head screwdrivers to work into each side where the plastic cover and the bottom base meet. I guess each side has a locking mechanism that you need the flat-head to unhinge.
