Wow, that sucks. Have you tried looking everywhere for it? Maybe you just lost it.

Ya looked everywhere and if I knew who took it I would ring there necks but on a happier note I love my shuffle have you guys ever gotten any gadget stolen at school I got my phone my CD player {got that back and we kicked the guys ###} and my ipod

No one steals my ####.. I leave #### in my desk 24/7, when i leave i say u take this, i will kill u.. No one ever touches it. Because they know ill kill em 2. Sorry to hear bout ur iPod getting jacked, that really does suck.

Why not just carry your stuff with you then you won't have to "kill" anyone.

how does it get stole from school? i just keep it in my pocket when at school.

oh and my friend said that his prime target is people stupid enough to use the clip he said when the hallways crowed he walks up next swipes it off someone and they think the just got bumped I thought I would feel it but the more walked in crowed hallways the more I knew I was wrong

man...my high school wasnt secure either...but i new better than carrying stuff like that with me. I always carried my cell phone on me thought, cause i would go to work right after school...But still that was always in my pocket. I never had understood how people get their things stolen.

Just dont show whatever u take to anyone when u take it to school. No matter how valuable...keep it in your pocket, or dont take it at all...

You should try asking people about it. Some people who steel stuff brag about it and ask if other want to buy it. You might find who took it. It worked with my friend, he got lucky.

ipod thieves are crap, any thief is crap. I never carry more than one gadget at once at any moment (other than home), its better to be focused on one device and keep it safe than to focus on two and lose one in the end

Not to sound rude about the entire situation, but plain and simple, this wouldn't have happened to you if you had not taken it to school. Reading all these posts about items being stolen at school simply rouses no sympathy. The bottom line is that these items do not belong at school. It's kind of ironic that the purpose of attending school is to become more educated and to be able to make wiser decisions. However, some of you people still choose to take high-valued items (be it personal or monetary value) to school. Come on guys, use a little common sense. If you are the least bit reserved about these items being stolen at school or on the way to/from school then DO NOT TAKE THEM. (Steps down off of soapbox)

My iPod mini is lanyarded and secure around my neck, so it'll never get stolen unless someone is stupid enough to mug me in front of a crowded school.

Some people like to study to music. Some people have to walk quite a ways to school or ride the bus.

Can't apple make somekinda thing where if your ipod is stolen it won't work anymore. like by the serial number. Itunes asks for your serial number. whjy can't you call ipod, tell em its stolen and the next time the theif tries to itune it ... BOOM ACID BATH.

ok... admit at least that it was an interesting concept of being able to track an iPod by it's serial, just as you would a stolen cellphone. Maybe not possible to implement in reality but a neat concept.

well, the thing ppl would complain about is the fact that their iPod software was constantly connecting to a server and sending info from the user's PC, to see if the iPod had been reported stolen.

Sorry to hear about you ipod. I keep mine in my pants all day and when i take em off to get changed i put it in a locker.

its not very smart bringing an ipod to school......so many bad seeds...-sigh-

From your post above, it's pretty obvious that you need to spend more time learning and studying, and less time worrying about the frivolous crap you bring to school.

yeah not that great of a friend dude.

anyways, thats when you get a small lock for your backpack, and put it on the handles to whichever pocket your ipod is in. if your keep your ipod in the same pocket as all your other stuff, only put it in when you leave your backpack somewhere but if you keep it in a seperate pocket (like me), keep the lock on all the time.

either that, keep it in your pocket, or dont take it to school

Thank you very much. Sometimes it takes me 1 1/2 hours to get home. Damn public trasport, takes that long to do 12 miles. Granted, i have a half hour "layover" on the way at the shopping centre, but still, i like to listen to it when i'm stood there in the cold and rain.

Just dont bring that stuff to school. I brougt my month old 30 gig 5G to school cause we can listen to it in 2nd hour. Kept it in my pants all day. I even have my own lock on my locker, but somebody f***** stole it while i was at bball. So i guess they broke into the locker?!?!

On topic:
I have one more semester in college and if I decide to bring my iPod with me, I'll either have it in my pocket or in my backpack. Since I never leave any rooms without my backpack, I think it will be pretty safe. The reason I never leave my backpack alone is because I have a MobilePro 900c which I type up notes on while in class. MP900's are $900 new, $500 on Ebay...so yeah, I don't let it out of my sight. lol
