20gb 4th gen REPLACEMENT BATTERY WHERE?

I have a 20gb 4th gen IPOD and the battery is done, toast, finished,,won't hold a charge for longer than 10 minutes, now I have checked google and oddly enough no ONE HAS ANY 4th gen batteries?!! why is this?? does anyone know where I can get one? or if I can use a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen battery in it?? please help me I want to use my ipod but sadly it is nothing without a good battery

well, i'm pretty sure you are still under the warranty since it is the fourth generation, i'm pretty sure you can contact apple and they would fix it for you. If that doesn't work just get one from ebay, i'm pretty sure they sell fourth generation batterys there for the cheapest you can get them. i hope that helpedphatpat737 at 2007-11-15 15:02:59 >

The 4G iPod is so new that 3rd party companies ahve not developed a battery for it. I am surprised your battery if toast. What did you do, completely discharge and recharge it everyday? If it is less than a year old then Apple will gladly fix it for you. If it is not under warranty then the only way to repair it would be to send it off to Apple for the price of $100. yea you wil probably have to send it in to apple 4 99 bucks if it isnt a year old yet, other than that, the other guys are right, ebay is the only other option. apple or ebay.take better care of your ipod, it shouldnt be burnt out already. either you wrecked it or its defective.

it seems like a good site, you just have to instal the batery yourself

actually i got my ipod off ebay and yea the battery was dead,,it only cost me $55 US though, and yea it does transfer music and play, jsut the battery won't hold a charge,,thanx man! I will get my battery from thereScorcher at 2007-11-15 15:07:09 >

The 4g Ipods do not have a user replaceable battery, you are supposed to send it to Apple to have it replaced. However like previously stated it should still be under warranty.cnjax at 2007-11-15 15:08:08 >

NO.People need to read their warantys. I did *not* buy iPod from apple, and i Still returned it to the AppleStore when my clickwheel failed.
