Ipod 2 months old - Wishing i got insurance
I didnt get insurance. got the ipod 40gb 4th gen from apple. I had to reset it today and now i'm terrified that i didnt get insurance.
Should I
0. I dont get it. Can i buy applecare from apple 2 months after buying the ipod? And its totally covered for 2 years then?
1. Get an applecare from ebay? Does that work even if i bought the ipod already? Should i be nervous getting that from ebay?
2. Return the ipod, then buy it again with insurance?
3. Get another insurance plan? Which one? How can i know i'll be taken care of i buy some insurance plan from a 3rd party

1st of all you cant get insurance on an Ipod, maybe home owners insurance will cover it but there would be a $300+ deductable
There is extened warrenties such as apple care. apple care can be bought anytime within the 1st year of owning the iPod. I wouldent get it from ebay, but it will be the same price everywhere so you may wnat to get from apple. You arent going to be able to return a 2 month old product and you dont need to

Your iPod is 2 months old. Lets re-cap our AppleCare waranty, shall we?
You get One (1) year iPod waranty from the date of purchase. You get 90 days phone support (Apple care support) complementary one incident call.
You can use your iPod waranty and phone support now, as is since you have had it for less then a year or 90 days. If you still have one year, but no more phone support, you can still go to depot.apple.com or to an apple care technition (like the apple store).
AppleCare extended waranty (iPod waranty is 2 years since DOP and phone support is unlimited for 2 years since DOP) can be purcahsed within 1 year of the Date of Purchase.
