iSkin painting...
Hey guys...
I tried to find a skin for my iPod... but figures.. either they didnt have the kind I wanted, or the kind I DID want, was for 40gb (I have 20gb)...
So I settled on the glow in the dark one.
Now, since it's white, it's really ugly because it gets really dirty. Honestly, I look at it and want to puke haha.
SO..
I was wondering if there was any way to paint these things...?
Thanks...

I don't think it would work, but I'm not a professional artist/painter. I'd think that after painting it, you'd get a very stiff piece of silicone.

Not just that, but most paints aren't very elastic and would end up cracking. Maybe dyeing it would work. You should run a search for "dye" or "dyeing" on the board... I'm sure someone has tried it.

yeah id definitly try gettin some RIT dye, its found in grocerie storse alot. shouoldnt add anything, just change the color. althought it will only work if the skin is already transparent.

You can paint them.
Either get them airbrushed, which is my best advice, or use a thin paint. Also make sure there is a thin sealing coat over the paint. You can pick up a bottle of sealer in a spray can that works best.

Vinyl dye should do the trick (you can get this from your local automotive store). If you use paint, it'll certainly peel off, but vinyl dye seeps into the material. Just make sure to at least use a respirator b/c that stuff is very toxic- a little moreso than paint.
