Ipod photo - the best ipod?

Hi you guys that have an ipod photo. I'm interested in your opinion about the unit. Are you all satisfied with it or...?

I'd say that I'm very happy with my iPod photo. When I originally bought it, the photo abilities were just a nice plus, but I was looking to replace my old DAP anyway (a first-generation Creative Jukebox ZEN).

In reality, I do carry a bunch of photos around on it, and the ability to show off the occasional slide-show is a nice bonus, however it's not the main feature that I use, and this would probably hold true for most people.

The hig-resolution colour screen and album artwork are very nice features, and having used my iPod photo for a while now, there's simply no way that I could move down to something like a 4G.

Thanks for your answer!
Even if I don't have one yet I'm pretty sure that it's the album art feature I will appriciate the most and of course that color screens will pretty soon be standard on these units. Don't you think?

I'm extremely happy with my iPod photo. I'm a first time buyer of the iPod, and I'm glad I went with the newest release. I love everything about it. I enjoy the photo feature as I love viewing photographs as I listen to music. The iPod photo is simply the best deal for your dollar in the realm of iPods. I'm very impressed with the quality of sound, screen colour, and the over all function of the product. Music is my "thing", and the iPod photo lets me do my "thing" and then some. Enjoy...

eh, it's not high-res... and it's only 64,000 colours.. they can do better, and should..

but don't get me wrong, i absolutely love my iPod photo.. it's my forth iPod, and definately my favourite, but there's room for improvement.

anyone else find it just a little bit odd that it costs the same as a mac mini?? seriously, these things are overpriced... woopdeedoo, a colour screen... LCDs are a dime a dozen! you can pick up a console controller with a 2" LCD, for less than $20...

but, if it's something you can afford to buy, get it! you won't be disappointed.

I got an ipod photo because i couldn't find a 40GB normal ipod in London just after xmas. I thought "what the hell, it's only 50 more" so i bought it not thinking it would make a difference to me ... but I have found the fact that it shows the album cover when playing sounds great. It reminds you of the album and puts the songs in different contexts. Also just nicer to have a full colour screen.
