Apple out of tune with Harmony!
Ok I read this Article in todays Register The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/12/15/apple_vs_real/) about how Apple
soposedly killed off support for Reals' Harmony. Thing is according to this Article no one has noticed untill now?
Mr. Smith (the Author), seems to think it was a bug in the 15.11.2004 Update and Restore Software that set the trap for our Mini and 4G / 5G (Photo) I don't buy the hype! If the Photo aint 5G compaired to the 4G then what does that make the 2G?!?!
I think the Photo was a much bigger departure from the prior then the 2G was! But, hay that's me!
In any case acording to the same story there was soposedly another release back on October for everyone else. Did I mis something!! Because so FAIK the 3G is still sitting at rev. 2.2 where it's been now for all these years.
I know that The Register is not everyones cup of Technews but, I thought I'd pass this on to you all anyway...

Yes I knew that. What I was trying to say was how could Apple do something to the iPodOS ver. 2.2 to make Realmedias' Harmony not work on the older iPod's when Apple fails to update it's iPodOS (e.g. Firmware)?!?!
It's not so much a question as it's quetioning the Author of that story. check the link...

The iPod photo has not been classed as a 5G by Apple, it appears to be in a class by itself, much like the mini...
The iPod photo software is at V1.0 as opposed to 3.02 for the 4G, 2.2 for the 3G and 1.4 for the 1/2G
