No Applecare Protection Plan in Florida

Why is it that Florida residents cannot purchase the applecare protection plan?
I purchased an ipod on friday at an apple store and it seems im fu**ed if my ipod breaks after a year.

I seriously doubt they said your ####ed if youre iPod broke after a year ;) (jk). Ill check my protection plan. This honestly doesn't say anything about florida.

Don't know how or why consumer law is like that in Florida but I have used Tekserve in NYC to order through and purchase an Apple Care Plan with what I ordered for things like iPods,processors and displays etc.Because I live in Florida several months a year and have had to get around that law as well as stating that I use my Apple products for business when I register.
