Does anyone know if I can bring the ipod into the Apple store in NYC for repair? I was hoping to drop in the store instead of mailing it out.

You can bring an iPod into any brick&mortar Apple store for repair..... it would be of great help to you if you bring the purchase receipt (or if you don't have that, some indication, such as Apple online registration confirmation, of the date of purchase).......... and Apple confirms the following as authorized repair center....

Apple soho is awasome, I have had a problem with my 3g ipod about a year ago and was told I had to mail it in to apple and it could take some time. I remeber the apple store broght it in(its a city so its a busy palce) took about a hour and i came out with a brand new ipod. The guy was very nicevinny77 at 2007-11-15 15:04:31 >

What if you come in with a new 3G that was purchased this past holdiay season? Would they force you to send it in or would they give you a different 3G on the spot like a refurbished one they had in the back? :confused:FallN at 2007-11-15 15:07:35 >
