My iPod is dead please help!

I used MacOpener and MacFormat to wipe my iPod of all music and restore factory settings. Instead it deleted everything... My iPod does not respond to any buttons, movement of the hold switch, or plugging in to something. I really need help. I spent my entire savings on this iPod and I really want it to work. Is there any way to fix this? please help me.

Why didn't you use the updater to restore the iPod? What OS are you using?

i manually rebooted it and it showed me the folder with the ! mark so i clicked on your link honeybee and i did everything and one or the other must have worked cause its up and running again
