Did you load up and listen? Is there any problems using the Shuffle with your existing iTunes? Can you pick what tunes to put on it out of your existing Library? How fast did the battery charge?
Do you like the lanyard, and is it secure?
How's that for a start? :p

Yes
No
Yes
It came charged
No (kinda cheapy and I don't like wearing it around my neck) and Kinda
Fine
:-)
You can put anything you want on there. No problems using it with existing iTunes setup. I even had both my 10GB iPod and the shuffle connected and it just showed both in the source list.

what i was surprised by is the lanyard: it looked like a clip that slides OVER the ipod shuffle... but it actually *replaces* the usb cover... losing that cover would really suck
no problems with it at all... ive yet to check to see if theres that gap between songs... at least theres no time waiting for the hd to spin up.
if you really want a shuffle... seriously, call your local apple store like, twice a day.. friday morning, they said to call back next week... friday afternoon, they said they just got in the 512mbs
i went down there, and couldnt find them... i asked a salesperson, and he said they're not for sale yet. i talked to the cashier, and she said she remembered when i called, and made a mistake, but she'll "see what i can do"
turns out they got them around 2 o'clock, and decided to wait till the next day, to have a more formal release (saturday morning) ... but sold me mine anyways! of course, someone saw, and bought theirs... and im pretty sure they just started selling them then... sucks for the people who are waiting for next week: they'll probably be sold out

i thought flash memory players didn't "spin up" like hd based players...

that's exactly what he's saying...
no moving parts in flash-based players. (ipod shuffle)
HDD's must spin up to get started (ipod, ipod mini, ipod photo)
