iPod lists appear in iTunes but not on iPod

Hey, I had this problem the other day and actually spent half an hour on the phone with Apple tech support because of it. He was no help, but I did figure out what was wrong, and hopefully this will help you. My ipod had been working fine and then the other night I added a bunch of new sogns and the next morning when I wanted to play, the ipod said there were no songs on it, but the sogns showed up in itunes. Turns out, one (or maybe more - I'm not sure) of the files I had just added was bad, so I cleared all the stuff that I had just added and now the songs show up on the ipod and everything is fine. Hopefully that's your problem (because I know I really didn't want to have to wipe out my entire collection) and things will be working again soon. :)
