Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I have a 3g that sometimes emits a strange short 2-tone beep, it's 2 short beeps at 2 different tones. I mainly use my iPod in my truck hooked up to one of the Belkin kits so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I hear the tone directly from the iPod itself not thru the speakers. This happens while I am listening to music not when I first turn the iPod on and I am not sure if it happens at the beginning of a song or not. It does not always happen and I almost never use it outside of the truck so as I said before I didn't know if the Belkin had anything to do with it.

I wish I could describe the tone a little better but this the best way I could think of, almost sounds like a sound an old Atari game would make. The iPod seems to work fine and the song(s) never get interrupted but I did not know if this was the HD making this noise and there could be something wrong with it that I should look into now.

Any ideas?
