Hey,

I recieved my 20gb Ipod through the post yesterday and checked to see if it had battery power. It did, so i put the Install CD in my Laptop and, on prompt, connected the Ipod to begin formatting. After about 5 minutes i checked the Ipod and saw that it had switched off (it had been displahing a do not disconnect screen) and was totaly blank. After a while a disconnected it and thought that the battery must have run out so i stuck it on charge for a few hours then tried again. When i took it off charge, the Apple logo was on the screen but that disappeared and ever since the computer has not recognised when it has been connected.

I have tried the forced reset and everything else i've read about for similar problems but NOTHING works - i cant even get the Apple logo to appear again. I left it on charge overnight just to be sure but its still just a blank screen.

Any suggestions, or will i have to send for a replacement?
