1st Gen iPod usb problems
so now i can charge my ipod but i dont know what cords i need to tranfer music from my computer.
can anyone help?

i bought a 1st generation ipod used with nothing but the ipod, i managed to get the plug-in charger and the 6 pin firewire cord with the firewire on both ends.
so now i can charge my ipod but i dont know what cords i need to tranfer music from my computer.
can anyone help?

If you have a 1st generation iPod, you can't use USB to transfer music to it. The first and second generation iPods are firewire only. You'll need to buy a firewire card for your computer in order to use your iPod.dordale :)
