HELP ME PLEASE

i got a 20gb ipod 4 xmas and it worked fine, the computer regonized it and everything but then my computer broke so i got it fixed at a shop but now when i plug my ipod into the same usb holes which i used before it doesnt regonize my ipod. I tryed uninstalling the software and installing it again but it wont configure my ipod.
HELP ME PLEASE

Try restoring your ipod using the ipod updater utility:http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
You will lose all your songs that you uploaded, but at least your ipod will work again...

Welcome to the lounge. What kind of PC do you have? What OS are you using? If the iPod was already configured then just install the software and skip the 'format' part. After the installation is complete, connect the iPod and see if it will connect. If you were connecting it before that means you already have it formatted. The software needs to be installed so the PC can read the iPod.
If it won't after installation of the disk, update the USB ports via the disk that came with your PC when you purchased it. They probably fixed the PC but may not have updated the USB drivers.
