iTunes & CDDB

I am having problems with song title recognition to store music on my IPod mini from CD collection although it has worked previously. I am getting message "check internet connection and configuration", but I am not getting the problem on other players such as Window Media. Wondered if problem is with CDDB rather than my settings. Can someone check see if theirs is working?

I added a new album last night and was able to access CDDB without any issues. Have you recently installed a firewall? If so, have you granted iTunes permissions to access the internet? If you have connectivity to the net for other programs but iTunes can't access CDDB, that could be the issue.

I got my iPod on thursday and copied about 100 songs from cd to iTunes with all the info. Tried again friday but CDDB couldn't be accessed. Not aware of altering any settings on Norton. Should somethig be altered to specifically allow access to CDDB ?

Well, if it worked Thursday but not Friday, that would suggest to me that it may not be a firewall issue after all. As for accessing CDDB, I'm adding a new CD as I type this, and it worked fine for me. I am also using Norton (Internet Security 2005), but I while there's an entry for the iTunes program, I am not aware of a setting that would be specific to accessing CDDB.
