Heat damage in a laptop bag?
OK, I've been trying to figure out how my new 4G got a brownish tinge to it. I noticed one morning on the headphones, click wheel and faceplate. I tried water, soap, and simple green but none of it cleaned it off. Looking at it more and thinking about it, I think it may be due to heat damage when the iPod sat in my briefcase w/ a laptop in hibernate mode. The bottom of the laptop does get hot at times, especially if the bag is closed.
Has anyone had this happen to them? (Hard to imagine I'm the only one who had this problem.) Any way to "clean" the case? It still works fine, just doesn't look nice anymore. But I'm getting an evo2 skin so that should help dress it back up.
