iPod problems: will not power off

My ipod will not turn off on less i plug it in the ac adapter. why? also sometime it doesn't hold a charge. I would charge it for an hour and listen to it all day and some times i'll charge it all day and the battery icon come up and it shuts off. and it happens in vice versa as well.

Welcome to the lounge. First, connect the iPod and do a restore using the updater. This will erase the iPod and set it back to its factory settings. Then test it out and see if the problems are solved. If not sent it in for service.honeybee1236 at 2007-11-15 13:43:13 >

if you dont have it plugged in try to reset it. after that try to power off. or send into apple for an upgrade (if they are nice)smorzander at 2007-11-15 13:44:24 >
