the fix to any and all problems

i have only had my ipod mini for about 2mnths but i have had my fair share of problems. the soultion to any software problem. erase all your music, erase any thing "itunes" on your computer and re install it all from the cd that came with ur ipod. the reformat your ipod (will erase all files on it.) and reload all your songs from real cd's and good download services like itunes. fake cd's can have currupt files on them that will screw with everything. same with those p2p downloading services. this will not fix low batt, hard drive, screen, click/touch wheel problems or scratches or dents. just ipod and pc problems.
have fun :D

it may sound like alotta work but if you are totally ####ed off it is worth a try.

Now I have found that:
-Reformat your iPod - no -use the updater to "Restore" the iPod back to its factory settings.
-Downloaded songs - burn to a CD and then import them into iTunes. Import all music into iTunes and do not just transfer the songs into iTunes.

After doing this my iPod worked fine and has ever since. :) I have a 3G, 30 Gig over 1 year old and now a 4G, 60 Gig iPod photo I did the same thing too.

i think that the "burn to cd than import" is a good idea cuz then all your music is in one place and you have a backup copy... just incase

:D My 100th post!!! :D
