Hello Everyone, was wondering if anyone has had this problem with the iPod dock....

I recently got back from the states where I purchased a 20gig iPod and and the gear to go with it, whilst I've been over there everything worked fine.

Now I come home and to my horror my dock seems to be mashed! When I place my iPod into the dock I get a horrible little error noise, the screen then flashs on to the usual "do not disconnect" message and the charging starts......this then stops and the screen returns to the normal menu for around 5 secs and it then reverts back to the "do not disconnect message" again. Also whilst doing this the iPod itself makes an odd clicking noise like its trying to connect but can't.

Well I know it sounds a little odd but any help would be very much appreciated, the iPod still connects by the standard cables so I'm pretty sure it is the dock, was just wandering if theres anyway I can fix the problem?

ps dunno if this is relevent but my computer makes the hardwear connected sound when I place the iPod into the dock, but no conneted hardwear is detected!
