is there anything i should know concerning defeect and stuff?

hello i am new to this site...i just purchased my u2 special edition ipod. really cool and very stylish. well i just got done reading all the stickies and had most my answers, answered concerning the battery and what not...but concering the u2 ipod. just how special is this special edition. how many are being made and for how long. i paid $315.00 so i thought i got a deal on it...

hmmm... good question there. i havent heard anything about when this U2 ipod is going to be discontinued. noting that it is a special edition, one would assume that a discontinuation would be in order at some point...welcome to the lounge, and THANK YOU for reading stickies BEFORE posting! you are a model lounger! :D

Yes, it is essentially the same as a 20GB 4th-generation iPod. So any cases or accessories that work with the 4th-gen 20GB iPod should fit/work just fine with your U2-edition iPod.
