How to put files on 4G ipod

I was just wondering if there was a way to put files that arent music files on to my 4g iPod(back up pictures/important papers)? If there is can someone help me with that? I looked on the FAQ's and didnt see anything about it.

Welcome to iPodlounge!Yes, you need to change one of the iPod Option items to enable the iPod to be used like a hard disk. This iPod 201 article has the info on this:
