Yes ok here is how you do it. I will tell you the options to get to language settings.

Make sure no music is playing so you don't have the Now Playing option. If I remember correctly (because I changed mine) settings is the second or third from the bottom. Click that menu. Scroll all the way to the bottom and then go back up options. That is the language option. If you scroll all the way to the top, you are now back in English.

Welcome to the lounge. the line up is:
Playlist
Browse
Extras
Settings>then hit enter (or you can scroll down to the last one & press enter & scroll down one & press enter. This will reset all settings of the iPod.)

About
Main menu
shuffle
repeat
backlight timer
EQ
Sound check
Coontrast
clicker
date & time
contacts
Language>hit enter
the first language is English - press enter

or just restore if you have no music on the iPod because this will set it back to factory settings and you will lose any songs on it.

Plug it into the PC. Then load up the Firmware Updater and click the restore option. Resets everything and will delete all songs and settings on the iPod.
