Chkdsk utility

Hi, can anyone help please?
When I put the Ipod (4g 40gb) into the dock I get a warning on the PC saying something like '\lastknownplaycount is corrupt - use Chkdsk utility'
What's up, and how do I run the Chkdsk for the 'pod?

You have a corrupt file on the Ipod. This could be a sign of a damaged hard disk on the Ipod.
It isn't recommended to run Chkdsk on the pod, but you can run the in built disk check utility. (Check the FAQs)
