How Much Battery should I get

Hi

I am concerned about all the threads where people ahev said they get 5-7 hours of battery life, that is really ridiculous

I am getting a 4g 20gb for Christmas, And this is a huge concern for me. I will not use the backlight hardly ever. My music is in 128kbps

so my question is how much battery life do you get out of your 4g in normal everday settings/use.

depends on use, how often you access the hardive, and if you have shuffle on etc. too many variables, but it should be around 12. Don't forget that the the 3rd gen only got 8 hours to begin with, so people may be talking about those.

You will get 12 hours of battery life through a 4th Generation iPod.. Alright enough Apple marketing talk.. ;)

Really it depends on the unit you get. I'm not sure how the 4G battery situation is, but you should get 10-12 hours. You should, but that is not necessarily what you will end up getting.. The 3Gs were advertised as having 8 hours, but most did not meet up to that benchmark.. I remember many angry Loungers about a year ago complaining that their 3Gs only gave them 3 hours...! My 3G gives me around 6, which isn't bad.. My guess is you'll see around 9 hours with normal use, which is still quite good..

Good luck,
