Which Software should i use?

Hello,

I am planing to rip a CD collection to 320AAC.

Which software should i use?

Hi,

I supose 320AAC has better quality than 192AAC. What you are saying is that the difference in quality is not so big and with 192AAC size gets considerable smaller, right?

I found 3 really good ones:

1. Easy CD-DA Extractor. It seems very complete. Includes all the modern codecs and it even converts from one file type to another.
What do you think?

2. iTunes. I read in this forum that iTunes is the best for AAC conversion. But the AAC produced by iTunes is a special one from apple or the standard? Should i use it?

3. EAC. It seems good but at the same time it seems something new. I am looking for something that i know it will be around in 1 or 2 years.

Thanks,
Miguel

If you are planning on using it on an iPod go with iTunes because it directly adds it to your library with no extra work. No extra work is more time for play :p Have fun with your ripping :)

One of the problems with iTunes is that i am not able to convert from one file type to another.

Easy CD-DA Extractor is one of the most complete softwares i ever used.

Did anyone ever tryied it?

What do you think about it?

Thanks,
Miguel

Well,

i have some things in lossless format: Flac. I think that's the name. This format is widely used. Do you think it will become available in iTunes?

Thanks,
Miguel

Probably not since there is Apple Lossless (ALAC).
