40 gb or use the extra 100 for accessories

i got the 40 gb as a gift

first of all i dont have anywhere near 40gb of music.

so i am wondering if i should trade it in for the 20gb, and use the extra $100 for accessories, like a case, and a dock...etc

so is the dock that comes with the 40gb usefull enough to keep it or should i just get someother accesories?

If buying the 40Gb one means that you're completely broke, get the 20Gb one. Especially if you don't need the extra 20Gb at all. Of course you're close to being able to fill 20Gb you might want to look at a 40Gb one. But if you can't afford an iSkin with it I'd go for the 20Gb, it isn't a fable that the naked iPod gets scratches easily when you slide it in your pocket.

well hears the deal

i got the 40 gb for 240 dollars, so its not a matter of affording the 40gb , i already have it, but have not opened it yet.

so i just dont know if i should trade it in and get the 20 gb one. that would leave me with $100 in store credit to get a case ...etc

240 dollars? that's a steal... keep it. I bought my 20Gb one for 330 euros which is probably about $400 now.

it was from smartbargains.com the deal was they would only sell 25 of them every morning for a few days.

so i got really lucky, because they sold out within seconds, so no more available sorry

I'd stick with the 40GB, you never know how big your collection of music will become and you shouldn't cap it off at 20GBs if you can get the 40GB.. Take me for example. I had maybe 800MBs of music when I bought my 3G 10GB 14 months ago. Now I have around 27GBs... Now I am in need of a used 3G 40GB to tide me over until the 5Gs are released...

Trade it in if you can't fill it, and get some pretty, shiny things.

That is exactly my problem.I had like 450 Songs when I got my 3rd gen 10gb,I never thought I could possibly fill it up,but now I have 1740 songs and only 300MB's left,so I'm getting close to need ing to upgrade,so yes definatley keep the 40gb.:)
