My Pod is stuck on HDD Scan. It just says HDD Scan and below that, START. It has been that way for 15-20 mins. How do I get out of the diagostic? New with the Ipod, so have manu unanswered questions, but have to get back to normal first.

Depending how how large the hard disk drive on your iPod is it can up to an hour to finish the test. My 15gb iPod took 33 minutes and a friend's new 4g 40gb took almost 50 minutes.Steve

Thanks for the comeback. It is a 15G almost full pod. I guess I should have let it go on. I did manage to stop it by pushing and holding some buttons, but I think it was pure luck on my part. Thanks again, good to know people really try to help out here. Thankstopster10 at 2007-11-15 13:46:53 >

Yes,doing a reset will stop any of the test. That's holding down the two buttons in the middle for a few seconds.Steve
