ok, well i just got my 20 gig ipod for my b day on monday and i want to name it, i named it when it poped up in i tunes but can i change it to ipod to whatever i want on the top of the screen on my ipod, thx

yea, there are lots of ways to do iteasist would be to plug it in go to my computer and you will see it as a device right click and go to rename and thats it done

In iTunes click twice (slowly) on your iPod icon in the Sources area, then type a new name.AndyH at 2007-11-15 13:48:55 >

But if you are wanting it to display in the title bar of the iPod's menu interface (instead of "iPod"), then unfortunately you can't. From the wording of your post that's what it sounds like you are trying to achieve.TOM
